Smile Makeover For a Perfect Smile

A smile makeover involves facial rejuvenation, dental or cosmetic procedures to improve your smile. A smile makeover is an individual choice. One smile makeover may be different to another.

Whatever reason you may have to undergo a smile makeover, there are various cosmetic dentistry options for you to choose from to improve your smile:

• Repair of broken or chipped tooth – the treatment options include porcelain veneers, cosmetic bonding and porcelain crowns. The extent of the damage of your teeth will determine the kind of treatment that you will need.
• Straightening of crooked teeth – conventional orthodontics or Invisalign aligners or braces are recommended treatment for crooked or misalign teeth. For fast solution to this type of tooth problem, porcelain veneers may be considered.
• Replacement of missing teeth – a smile makeover may involve replacing existing restorations. This can be done by dental implants, denture or dental bridge.
• Closing gaps between teeth – this can be remedied with porcelain veneers such as da Vinci or Lumineers. Your dentist may also recommend the use of orthodontics to move your teeth and close the gaps. Some orthodontic appliances include Invisalign braces, Damon braces, lingual braces or Inman aligner.

A complete oral and facial examination must be carried out prior to determining a course of action. A full mouth X-ray exam will be performed, along with a periodontal charting, and bite registration. Gingivitis/periodontitis and bite discrepancies should be addressed prior to starting a smile makeover. If other teeth in the mouth have problems, these problems should also be addressed. The time spent to make sure that your mouth is healthy prior to a smile makeover is well worth it! If however, you only want aesthetic improvements; your smile transformation will not take long. Your dentist, however, will make sure that you know what needs to be done to your mouth to make sure that is it healthy.

Whatever cosmetic dentistry option you will choose, you can be sure that a smile makeover will completely change your life.Although smile makeovers can be fairly expensive, a dentist will be able to show you how just a few simple procedures can greatly improve the appearance of your smile.

Beautiful Smiles Are Noticed First

Teeth and a Beautiful Smile are among the first things noticed by a stranger, much of the time. However, it depends on whether women or men are being observed. The face and head, along with the body, are perceived differently by men and women. This is according to a recent study by the Dental Researchers . Therefore, this is very recent information about how a smile is perceived by people.

WOMEN have their eyes noticed first by men according to the survey. The Smile and Teeth were the second thing about women that was noticed by men. Those things noticed next by men about women were the body, clothing, hair and other things combined. The percentages of what men noticed first about women according to the study are indicated below:

THINGS NOTICED FIRST ABOUT WOMEN

* EYES – 39%
* SMILE – 25%
* BODY – 14%
* CLOTHING – 12%
* HAIR – 3%
* OTHER – 7%

MEN have their Teeth and Smile noticed first by women according to the survey. Eyes were the second thing about men that was noticed by women. These first two things were followed in order by the clothing, hair and body (these two were tied) and followed by other things combined. The percentages of what women noticed first about men in the survey are indicated below:

THINGS NOTICED FIRST ABOUT MEN

* SMILE – 40%
* EYES – 35%
* CLOTHING – 11%
* BODY – 4%
* HAIR – 4%
* OTHER – 7%

It was not surprising that a person’s teeth and smile ranked so high in the survey with both women and men. It is certainly one of the first things that people see. I think most people quickly notice a beautiful or handsome smile and also they notice a very poor smile. A poor smile is greatly accented if there are missing, crooked or discolored teeth. On the other hand, if you have an unsatisfactory smile, you should visit your Cosmetic Dentist ,for many modern dental techniques such as porcelain veneers and crowns can be used to create a smile very attractive. Single-Visit CEREC dentistry

CEREC is a revolutionary system that enables your dentist to design, fabricate and fit a new crown, veneer, onlay or inlay in a single visit, a procedure that would normally take at least two weeks, if not more!The tooth is prtepared in ususal way before fitting a crown or a veneer. At this point, instead of using "dental putty" to take an impression of your tooth, a digital image is taken using a special camera. This image is then converted into a 3D computerised model of your tooth, which is used as a guide to design your new restoration. Once the newly designed tooth is finalised, this data is sent to an onsite milling machine, which fabricates your new tooth from a high-quality ceramic block. The milling process can take anywhere from as little as 6 minutes to 30 minutes depending on the exact technology and complexity of the tooth. The latest CEREC MCXL machine can mill a crown in as little as 6 minutes.The ceramic blocks come in a wide variety of shades and colours, and your tooth will be selected to match your surrounding teeth. Once the crown or veneer has been milled, we may characterise it and stain it to match your surrounding teeth, before either polishing it or glazing it in a furnace. Your new restoration will then be cemented into place onto your prepared tooth.
There are several advantages to having treatment with CEREC over conventional, laboratory-made restorations:
Everything is carried out in a single visit - you only need to visit the dentist once - take one day away from your work or life to have the procedure - instead of the usual two or three visits.
Only one set of local anaesthetic injections - since the entire procedure can be carried out within the hour, you only need to have one lot of injections.
No temporary restorations - if you have lab-made veneers, you would require temporary veneers during the wait for your new teeth. These have been known to fall off and cause problems, which is a step that is omitted with CEREC restorations.
You would probably think that restorations made with this state-of-the-art technology would cost a lot more than standard lab-made veneers and crowns. However, there is often very little - if any - difference in price, because you only need one appointment with the dentist and there are no laboratory fees to incorporate into the price of your treatment. CEREC crowns can vary in price from as little as 15000 up to 28000 per tooth. Many dentists offer interest-free finance plans to help spread the costs of your treatment.
